That was exactly the challenge.

While official tournaments require sleeve badges and Match Official badges to create a professional and consistent appearance, permanently applying tournament-specific branding is often impractical. Teams need the flexibility to continue using their jerseys long after an event has concluded.

The badges are primarily used during competitions such as the CFU Club Shield and the CFU U14 Challenge Series, where teams from across the Caribbean compete in official tournaments.

The jerseys needed to maintain a professional tournament appearance while remaining reusable after the event—without permanent branding or adhesive residue left behind.

That is why the CFU needed a solution that would deliver professional tournament branding without compromising the long-term use of team jerseys.

This is where our collaboration with the CFU began.

THE CHALLENGE

It quickly became clear that the solution needed to meet several requirements simultaneously.

The tournament badges had to:

• Be high quality
• Deliver a professional appearance
• Be easy to apply
• Remain securely attached during competition
• Be removable after the event

Since the badges needed to be applied directly on-site—without heat presses or additional machinery—simplicity and ease of application were critical to the success of the program.

At the same time, the future use of the uniforms had to be considered. The project was therefore about more than creating visually impactful badges; it required developing a solution that would perform reliably in real tournament conditions while preserving the usability of the jerseys.

THE SOLUTION

Working closely with the CFU, dekoGraphics developed sleeve badges and Match Official badges using our 3D SILICONE X SATIN technology.

The combination of a satin fabric base and a matte silicone surface created a premium look with a structured finish and high-quality feel. The raised silicone layer also adds visible depth, giving the badges a professional appearance on the jerseys.

The key element of the solution, however, was the 3M Self-Adhesive Backing.

This allowed the badges to:

• Be applied directly on-site
• Remain securely attached throughout the tournament
• Be removed after the event

One major advantage is that the self-adhesive badges can be applied without heat presses or specialized equipment. They function much like premium-quality stickers, allowing for fast and easy application whenever required.

This created a practical solution for temporary tournament branding without permanently altering the jerseys.

For federations, clubs, and tournament organizers that need to reuse jerseys or adapt them for different events, the benefits are significant.

The solution is not limited to tournament badges.

Temporary sponsor logos, event branding, and special applications for interviews or media appearances can also be executed using this approach—without permanently decorating existing teamwear. Furthermore, this application method can be used for select non-textile branding opportunities, creating unique possibilities beyond apparel.

THE RESULT

With reusable tournament badges, the CFU was able to create a professional and consistent look across multiple competitions.

During tournaments such as the CFU Club Shield and the CFU U14 Challenge Series, the badges helped establish a unified tournament identity while allowing teams to continue using their jerseys afterward.

Teams retained the flexibility they needed, enabling jerseys to serve both official tournament requirements and ongoing use without permanent event-specific branding.

The solution also simplified logistics. Badges could be applied directly on-site without additional machinery, specialized equipment, or complex processes.

The CFU project demonstrated that not every branding solution needs to be permanent.

Across the United States, the organization brings together numerous youth soccer clubs, each with its own story, its own community, and often its own look. 

That diversity is what makes Surf Nation strong. And at the same time, complex. As the organization grows, one key question becomes more important:

How do you build one strong brand without losing what makes each club unique?

With the launch of the Ola De Oro collection, this question became the starting point of our collaboration with Surf Nation and Soccer Post. The goal was to create a clear, consistent look that connects all clubs, without making everything look the same. 

THE CHALLENGE

The starting point was demanding.

Surf Nation is not centrally structured. It is a growing network with different needs and use cases, but one shared ambition: to represent a professional and high-quality brand in youth soccer.

The challenge was not just to define a design, but to make sure it could be applied consistently across all products and situations.

This meant:

• The designs had to look consistent across all clubs
• They needed to work across different products, from match kits to training and teamwear
• They had to perform across multiple colour variations
• And they had to be reliably produced as heat transfer logos

That last point is critical.

Because not every design can be applied in a way that works across different materials and colours.

The task was clear:

THE SOLUTION

Our role started where design meets reality.

We step in where design needs to be applied.

Together with Surf Nation and Soccer Post, we analyzed the existing designs and adapted them so they could be cleanly applied across different products and materials.

A key focus was:

• Readability across all colours
• Making sure details are not lost during application
• Using effects to enhance the design without overpowering it

The goal was to get the most out of the existing designs and make them work in real-world use.

Implementation as Heat Transfer logos

The crucial step was the implementation.

The designs were produced as heat transfer logos, using the right technologies to ensure both visual quality and performance.

- The club logos were produced using 3D SILICONE X TATAMI. Silicone is applied on a high-quality tatami fabric base, combining two materials to create a structured surface with a distinctive look and a premium feel.

This combination ensures that the designs not only look good, but also perform reliably in real use.

Built to scale across clubs and products

Scalability was a key part of the solution.

The system had to work across an entire network, not just one team.

That’s why everything was designed to:

• work across different clubs
• apply to multiple product types
• remain consistent over time

The result is a solution that grows with the organization.

Speed and execution under real timelines

Another important part of the project was the speed of execution.

The program started in late November. Preproduction samples were developed, approved, and moved into production within a short timeframe.

From there, production scaled quickly and the full rollout was completed only a few months later.

The project showed that the challenge was not only creating designs that work, but also implementing them reliably under real production timelines.

Collaboration as a key factor

Close collaboration between all partners played a major role throughout the project.

Surf Nation brought the brand vision. Soccer Post contributed the retail and distribution perspective. And we made sure the technical implementation connects both.

This was not a simple “brief and deliver” process. It was a continuous exchange, where ideas were refined and solutions tested—always with one goal:

To create something that not only looks good, but works in real use.

THE RESULT

With the Ola De Oro collection, Surf Nation created a unified look that works consistently across different clubs and products.

The designs perform reliably across match kits, training apparel, and additional teamwear — regardless of colours, materials, or applications.

This creates a consistent overall appearance throughout the collection, while still allowing each club to keep its own identity.

From a technical perspective, the project also showed how important a clean and reliable implementation is. The heat transfer logos were produced at large scale and delivered within a very tight timeline.

This combination of design, functionality, and reliable execution was a key part of the project.

For over two decades, we’ve been the official producer of the adidas name and number program for selected national teams.

Together, we’ve built a system that not only works reliably, but delivers when it matters most: on the biggest stage in sport.

THE CHALLENGE

This isn’t about a single jersey design.

It’s about a global system that must work seamlessly across multiple teams, markets, and millions of jerseys.

Today, that means:

• a wide range of national teams
• multiple jersey versions per federation (home, away, goalkeeper, special editions)
• different design concepts
• multiple size ranges (men, women, kids, mini kits, baby kits)

What this really means becomes especially clear when it comes to colour. Each team has its own colour definitions, carefully matched to the specific jersey.

The result: dozens of variations within a single program.

And every single one must perform:

• in daylight in the stadium
• under floodlights
• on TV, under changing camera conditions
• after intensive use and repeated washing

At the same time, strict adidas requirements apply, alongside FIFA and UEFA regulations. The result must look identical worldwide – no matter where the jersey is sold or worn.

THE SOLUTION

To manage this complexity, we’ve worked closely with adidas to build a system that doesn’t treat design, development, production, and distribution as separate steps – but as one connected process.

DESIGN – It has to look good. And it has to work.

The starting point lies with adidas – jersey designs and initial concepts for names and numbers.

Our role begins where design becomes performance.

This includes:

• developing full alphabets for player names
• refining proportions, spacing, and readability
• integrating effects
• ensuring compliance with FIFA and UEFA requirements

A design is never evaluated in isolation. What matters is whether it works under real conditions – in motion, under lighting, on TV, and across different materials.

DEVELOPMENT – Where everything is decided

The most critical phase is development. Because what works on screen is only the starting point.

A key element is colour matching. Colours aren’t simply adopted – they’re developed under real conditions. Material, surface, and light all influence how colours appear. That’s why we work with physical samples on original fabrics and test under real-life conditions. For each federation, multiple colour concepts are developed in parallel.

These are aligned through physical samples:

• on original fabrics
• under different lighting conditions
• in combination with the full jersey

This process runs through multiple iterations – together with adidas.

At the same time, technical testing takes place:

• application behaviour under heat and pressure
• durability across multiple wash cycles
• performance on different materials

Only once everything performs reliably under real conditions is the program approved by the relevant governing bodies.

PRODUCTION – At scale. Without error.

Production isn’t about a handful of names or numbers. It’s about supplying millions of jerseys with a system that works flawlessly.

This includes:

• complete number sets (0–9) for back, chest, and shorts
• player names
• individual letters
• all colour variations
• all sizes

Custom player names are produced using plotter sheets, while pre-produced full sets are available for top players to ensure immediate availability when demand spikes.

This allows us to respond instantly – even to sudden demand.

GLOBAL EXECUTION – Everything has to come together

After production, the real challenge begins: global implementation.

Products must be available simultaneously:

• for national teams
• in specialist sports retail

• through distributors worldwide

To achieve this, we rely on a global network of our own locations, partners, and distribution structures.

At the same time, the goal was not to change the identity of Virtus Bologna. The challenge was to refine it with precision, while introducing new visual, functional and digital elements.

THE SOLUTION

The solution did not come from one single feature. It came from combining different technologies, each with a clear role.

Working closely with the club, we focused on the areas where small adjustments create a noticeable impact:

#1 Club crest – LENTEX® | FLY EYE

The Virtus crest was developed using LENTEX® | FLY-EYE, a technology that creates depth through a fine lens structure.

#2 FIP badge – contrast through material

The FIP badge was produced using 3D HF TPU, combined with a subtle metallic finish.

Sponsor logos — such as the Polaris branding on helmets — needed to stand out more and remain durable throughout the season.

The challenge was clear: to find a solution that looked professional, performed reliably, and worked seamlessly across multiple materials.

THE SOLUTION

Together with the Huntsville Havoc team, we developed a three-part branding concept tailored to the specific requirements of jerseys, teamwear, and helmets.

#1 Jerseys – 3D HF TPU Transfers

For the jerseys, we used our 3D HF TPU Transfers.

These are produced through high-frequency embossing (HF), which transfers even the finest details precisely into the material. The result is a matte, embossed TPU logo with a crisp, three-dimensional structure.

They give the jerseys a premium, understated look while offering high durability — ideal for the physical demands of the game.

#2 Teamwear – 3D SILICONE X SATIN

For jackets, polos, and other teamwear items, we chose 3D SILICONE X SATIN.

This technique combines matte silicone print with a shiny satin base, creating a soft-touch texture and subtle gloss. The result is an elegant, refined appearance, perfectly suited for presentation and off-ice apparel.

At the same time, the surface remains robust and pleasant to the touch — perfect for daily use.

#3 Helmets – 3D SILICONE with 3M Backing

The biggest innovation came in helmet decoration. Since helmets don’t have textile surfaces, we developed a special version of our 3D SILICONE transfers, combined with a high-adhesion 3M backing.

This ensures strong adhesion on curved hard-shell surfaces and allows sponsor logos to appear in the same premium style used on textiles.

The result: three-dimensional, high-contrast logos with crisp edges that stand out under arena lighting and hold up under heavy use.

CONSISTENT QUALITY THROUGHOUT THE SEASON

To maintain a consistently high standard during the entire season, we standardized the application process, defined tested press parameters, and provided the equipment team with clear application guidelines.

This ensured that every logo — from the first to the last — was applied with the same flawless quality.

THE RESULT

With their new equipment, the Huntsville Havoc now present a cohesive, premium look across all touchpoints.

Two days, five presses, five heat transfer specialists and more than 700 athletes, coaches and staff:

The DSV Team Outfitting at the NürnbergMesse was an organisational challenge that required precision, coordination, and teamwork.

Every year, the DSV family gathers to mark the official start of the new winter season. For us at dekoGraphics, this event has long become a tradition. For over a decade, we’ve supported the German Ski Association (Deutscher Skiverband or DSV) as their trusted partner for premium textile branding.

Our task this year: applying the official authority logos – from the German Armed Forces, Customs, Federal and State Police, and the German Sports Aid Foundation – to the athletes’ jackets.

THE CHALLENGE

The scale of this project is impressive every year. The DSV athletes’ equipment includes around 50 different apparel items – from base layers and softshell jackets to wind-tunnel-tested racing suits.

However, the on-site branding process during the two-day outfitting focused exclusively on the athletes’ jackets, which were branded directly at the NürnbergMesse with the required authority logos.

Many of these garments are made of DWR-coated, water-repellent materials, which makes the application of heat transfers particularly demanding. Each logo needed to be durable, colour-accurate and perfectly positioned.

Coordination between all partners – including adidas as the official outfitter for Biathlon and Nordic disciplines, and Bogner for Alpine – required exact timing and smooth teamwork.

THE SOLUTION

For this application, we used our proven ECOBLOCK BLACK | DWR technology – designed for reliable adhesion even on water-repellent, coated fabrics.

While most sponsor logos, such as Kaufland, had already been pre-applied at our headquarters in St. Leon-Rot, the on-site branding in Nürnberg focused on the authority and Sports Aid Foundation logos.

Five of our specialists travelled with complete equipment to the event venue – including all transfer presses, tools, and materials. We set up a temporary production area inside the exhibition hall to carry out the final branding step directly during the DSV Team Outfitting.

Working closely with the DSV team and outfitters, each jacket was individually checked, positioned, and pressed. Within just two days, several hundred jackets were precisely and reliably branded with the logos of the German Sports Aid Foundation, Customs, Armed Forces, and Police.

Two days of technology and team spirit

Behind the scenes, the atmosphere reflected much more than logistics – it was about energy, excitement, and community.

Throughout the two days at the NCC West of the NürnbergMesse, athletes moved from station to station: registration, fittings, equipment pick-up, media sessions and photo shoots. Between the apparel stands of adidas, uvex, and Bogner, they stopped by our area for the official logo application.

It was inspiring to witness how a mix of concentration and anticipation filled the hall. With every branded jacket, the new winter season came one step closer.

Technology that proves itself

The ECOBLOCK BLACK | DWR transfers are the result of years of technical development and collaboration with leading sportswear brands.

They offer:

• Reliable adhesion even on DWR-coated surfaces
• Wash and weather resistance for high-performance use
• Sharp edges and precise colour definition across materials

Each logo was applied and inspected to ensure it meets the daily demands of elite training, travel, and competition.

THE RESULT

After two focused days, our work was successfully completed: All DSV athletes’ jackets were branded on site with the official authority logos – from Customs to the Armed Forces and Police.

In total, several hundred jackets were precisely finished on schedule, completing the final step of the team outfitting before around 500 athletes started the new World Cup season in their fully branded teamwear.

For us, this annual collaboration is always special – a project that highlights the close partnership between dekoGraphics, the DSV, and its official outfitters.

This wasn’t just another game. It was an international event celebrating Irish heritage, connecting the states of Kansas and Iowa with their shared cultural roots. For such a special occasion, the team wanted their pre-match quarter zip sweaters to become more than functional garments – they had to be symbolic, premium, and memorable.

THE CHALLENGE

The request from Kansas State was clear: they wanted their logos to be turned into special edition heat transfers that would capture the Irish connection of the game, while also meeting the standards of high-performance sports apparel.

The challenge lay in balancing three key demands:

• taking the existing commemorative logo and making sure its symbolism translated into a physical heat transfer,
• achieving a premium, tactile finish worthy of such a special occasion,
• ensuring a durable production method that would perform on high-quality sports apparel

It’s a situation many clubs face when preparing for milestone matches or international showcases: standard logos aren’t enough – apparel must capture the moment.

THE SOLUTION

To meet these requirements, dekoGraphics developed two bespoke embellishments that brought together innovative heat transfer technology and cultural storytelling.

On the left chest, the Irish Willie logo was produced using our 3D SILICONE process. This technique delivers a striking raised effect with sharp-edged finishings, giving the design both depth and presence. Known for its durability, 3D SILICONE is widely used in performance apparel – and with a special DWR adhesive option, it can even be applied to water-repellent fabrics without losing strength. For Kansas State, it offered the perfect mix of premium look and long-lasting performance.

On the sleeve, Kansas State needed the Aer Lingus sponsor logo to stand out clearly on the quarter zip sweaters. A standard silicone application would not have provided enough contrast between the lettering and the base.

To solve this, we used 3D SILICONE X TATAMI – a combination of silicone printed on a high-quality Tatami fabric base. This technique created a textured surface that made the background more visible and gave the lettering an even stronger presence. The result was a premium, tactile effect that elevated the sponsor logo into a true design element.

Together, these two embellishments transformed the quarter zip sweaters into something much more than sportswear: they became a symbol of heritage, identity, and innovation.

THE RESULT

The final garments successfully captured the spirit of the Aer Lingus College Football Classic. Kansas State’s players and staff wore apparel that was not only functional but also celebrated the Irish roots of the event. The logos gave the sweaters a premium, commemorative quality, making them a lasting reminder of the occasion.

For dekoGraphics, this collaboration marked an important milestone: our first-ever NCAA American Football project. It opened the door to a new sports market while proving once again how heat transfer logos can add meaning and storytelling to team apparel.

THE CHALLENGE

Equiline had a clear goal: create a new heat transfer logo for one of their upcoming collections. It needed to reflect their premium brand identity, stand out on technical fabrics, and withstand the demands of equestrian sports.

Equiline was inspired by THE BOX, impressed by the diversity of finishes and textures. But they were torn – two different techniques stood out, each offering unique benefits:

• One delivered the dimensional impact of a 3D film.

THE SOLUTION

With deep technical knowledge and years of experience, our heat transfer technicians analysed the design requirements and the functional needs of Equiline’s technical equestrian gear.

Together, we looked deeper:

• Where would the logo be placed? On high-impact areas like the lower corner of a saddle pad and the outer surface of a fly bonnet – locations where the logo must stand out and stay in place through motion and use.
• What were the fabric properties? Technical textiles with water-repellent finishes, light stretch, and structured surfaces – typical of high-performance equestrian gear.
• What should the logo stand for? A sense of premium, precision, and sporty elegance – in line with Equiline’s brand DNA.

That’s when our technicians proposed a unique solution: combine both techniques into a custom hybrid solution that had never been done quite like this before:

• A 3D film base for tactile depth and structure.
• A brushed metallic surface for an elegant, reflective finish.
• A perforated pattern to create visual interest.

The Process: Sample, Test, Refine

We moved into pre-production sampling and testing:

• Equiline sent us their original fabric for in-house testing.
• We applied the logo under various heat press conditions.
• The transfer was subjected to washing, stretching, and environmental testing.
• Adjustments were made to optimise the balance between adhesion, texture, and visual appearance.

Every detail was refined until it met Equiline’s standards – and ours.

How We Recreated SSC Napoli’s Iconic Light Blue

Achieving the perfect colour duplication is no small feat, especially when the client provides a reference that isn’t a Pantone code but a piece of fabric. Yet, this was exactly the challenge presented to us by SSC Napoli: creating a flawless reproduction of their signature light blue to customize the third jersey, maintaining a visual connection with the home kit. Here’s how we made it happen.

THE CHALLENGE

SSC Napoli came to us with a specific request: for their 2024-25 third jersey, the club logo and EA7 sponsor branding needed to match exactly the light blue of the home jersey fabric. The third jersey itself, however, featured a darker anthracite base. This colour choice was made to establish a visual link between the kits: while the logos on the home jersey are applied in white, the third jersey’s blue transfers replicate the iconic colour of the home kit fabric.

Achieving Colour Accuracy Without a Pantone Code

This task was far from simple. The vibrant light blue had to be faithfully replicated as a heat transfer for customizing the third jersey. This required meticulous attention to detail to ensure the shade stayed as true as possible to the initial reference.

THE SOLUTION

Napoli provided us with the home jersey fabric as a reference for the light blue colour. We passed this to our production technicians who carefully studied the sample before beginning tests to determine the perfect pigment blend. 

Testing & Precision: Finding the Perfect Match

Several 3D silicone samples were created, maintaining the same quality as the home jersey transfers, in various shades. Using spectrophotometer analysis, the ideal variant was identified. The samples were then sent to the client, allowing them to evaluate and select the tone that perfectly represented the project while preserving a consistent visual identity.

THE RESULT

Napoli reviewed and approved the desired light blue sample. With their approval, we moved into full production, conducting quality checks at every stage. 

From Prototype to Final Jersey

The EA7 logo was created using 3D SILICONE quality, which, thanks to its versatility, allowed us to precisely reproduce even the smallest details. For the "N" logo, we opted for 3D MOULDED SILICONE | STD technology, enabling the creation of a transfer with a raised surface and freestanding elements.

The result? Napoli’s third jersey showcased the iconic light blue of the home kit fabric in its logos, establishing a strong visual connection between the two kits. This meticulous attention to detail ensured consistency in Napoli’s visual identity, delighting both the club and its fans, and proving once again how collaboration and expertise can bring even the most intricate and challenging design visions to life.

The flagship feature of the official Le Coq Sportif collection for the French team is the "Gradience" effect: From the fusion of blue, white, and red, a new palette of vibrant and modern colours is born. With this collection, Le Coq Sportif symbolizes diversity and celebrates the coming together of sports, athletes, and cultures.

Le Coq Sportif’s design team faced the challenge of achieving this uniform colour gradient across all patterns and disciplines. The gradient needed to be perfect for different textiles worn by the athletes in multiple sports.

In a creative and exciting project, we worked closely with Ezeta, a brand born from a deep passion for jersey design and the desire to turn creative ideas into reality.

THE CHALLENGE

For the football club OstiaMare, Ezeta designed jerseys that not only look great but also reflect the rich culture and history of the region.

The New Club Logo

Redesigned in collaboration with the famous designer Dan K Norris, the new club logo features a seagull in flight cutting through a circle, elegantly embedding the full name of the club, "OstiaMare Lido Calcio 1945." This redesign gives the logo a modern and dynamic character.

The challenge for us was to implement the club logos in a way that they appear modern and are perfectly matched in colour to the four different jerseys:

• Home and Away Jerseys: Inspired by the mosaic of Bacchus and Ariadne in the Archaeological Park of Ostia Antica.
• Third and Fourth Kit: Inspired by the iconic representations in the inner cloister of the palace of the X District of Ostia.

THE SOLUTION

It was clear to us that the 3D MOULDED SILICONE technique was perfect for implementation. This heat transfer technique allows for the perfect representation of the fine details of the club logo and exact colour matching.

The active sportswear needed to be extremely elastic to provide a perfect fit and maximum freedom of movement, and made from breathable materials to quickly wick away moisture.

The properties of the active sportswear:

• Elasticity and Durability: The garments are made of recycled polyamide, nylon and elastane, ensuring high elasticity and durability. This provides maximum freedom of movement during strength training, cross-training, and other athletic activities.
• Breathability and Moisture Management: Polyamide and elastane are ideal for wicking away sweat during cardio training or running and keeping the body dry. The materials ensure that the active sportswear remains breathable even during intense workouts.

After selecting the final design, the team focused on developing and producing various logos and brand elements that would appear on the jersey, which included:

• Diadora script in ECOMARK WHITE quality.
• A size code label produced in ECOMARK quality.
• The authenticity label, made using MIR® technology, ensuring the authenticity of each jersey.
• The prominently featured Viking club logo, developed using the innovative 3D SILICONE X WOVEN technique. This technique combines the advantages of a high-quality silicone label with a woven fabric base.

HOW TO EMBELLISH HIGHLY ELASTIC FABRICS WITH HEAT TRANSFERS

Together with our partner Born GmbH, we have embellished training suits for EasyMotionSkin as part of a special mission called AMADEE-24.

AMADEE-24 MARS SIMULATION

The AMADEE-24 is a Mars analog simulation, controlled by the Austrian Space Forum in collaboration with the Armenia Aerospace Agency. In this mission, scientists simulate life on Mars in Armenia and astronauts wear training suits tailored for this unique expedition.

THE CHALLENGE

The challenge was to apply the EasyMotionSkin logo, along with flags and nameplates of participating astronauts on these suits, as well as to implement the logo of the AMADEE-24 mission. But here's the tricky part: the knitted materials, designed for extreme flexibility and breathability, made finding a suitable heat transfer solution challenging.

The central question was: "How can we embellish these highly stretchable trainings suits using heat transfers?" This challenge formed the starting point of our work.

THE SOLUTION

As the trainings suits arrived for material testing, our journey began. We analyzed the 100% polyamide material and embarked on a series of tests to find the most effective heat transfer solution, one that also meets the specific requirements of the testing laboratory.

Testing FLAT PU Heat Transfer: Uncovering Challenges

We experimented with using a FLAT PU heat transfer to apply the EasyMotionSkin logo, which consists of freestanding letters. But because the flat PU material is thin, it didn't work well. The structure of the suit material pressed through the logo, causing damage to the freestanding letters, which tore because the suits were too stretchy. So, we realized that a FLAT PU logo wouldn't work for this situation. 

Overcoming Elasticity Challenges with 3D SILICONE

So, we tried a different approach. We looked into using 3D SILICONE, which is thicker and more robust. This material worked much better because it didn't let the suit fabric push through the logo.

Preserving the Integrity of the EasyMotionSkin Logo

But we still had to figure out how to keep the EasyMotionSkin logo from tearing. One idea was to backing the freestanding parts of the logo to make them stronger. We also matched the background colour exactly to the suit colour, so the logo still looks the same but is tougher and less likely to tear.

These intensive testing procedures enabled us to find an effective and durable solution that meets the specific requirements of the textile. After finding the right method for the logos, we used the same approach for the nameplates and flags.

External Testing for Mission-Ready Durability

We tested the suits thoroughly in-house to make sure they could handle the tough conditions of the Mars simulation. After our testing, EasyMotionSkin subjected the finished product to external tests by a certified testing institute to ensure that the suits not only meet our own standards but also withstand the high demands of activities during the AMADEE-24 mission.

Designing Venezia FC's third jersey for the 2023-24 season presented a unique challenge — How to Create Realistic Metallic Logos & Achieve Unique Shiny Effects.

The jersey, paying homage to the gondoliers of Venice, demanded a design that not only honoured tradition but also exuded an air of elegance. The goal was clear: create a refined and precious aura that would leave a lasting impression.

THE CHALLENGE

Creating a soccer jersey with metallic accents is tricky, especially when it comes to heat transfer logos. The real challenge here was making sure the metal effect looked just right. It required a close partnership between dekoGraphics and Venezia FC. We had to understand every little detail the club wanted and work together to make it happen. 

This teamwork was key in tackling the complexity of bringing a metallic touch to Venezia FC's third jersey for the 2023-24 season.

THE SOLUTION

Our designers embraced on the challenge by exploring various options to bring the metallic touch to life. After considering different approaches, which involved a careful evaluation of suitable heat transfer techniques, they ultimately focused on intricate details — delicate diagonal stripes and shiny, undulating horizontal lines. These elements became the cornerstone of the design, adding a touch of elegance to the overall aesthetic.

PRIST® | SP EX for a Realistic Metallic Look

The decision to use PRIST® | SP EX for the club's logo was made quickly, as it stands out as the only heat transfer technique capable of delivering a realistic metallic look. PRIST® | SP EX ensured an unmatched metallic colour rendering that allowed the Venezia badge to shine gloriously on the chest.

For the Names & Numbers, we used ECOBLOCK BLACK | MATT GLOSS IRIODIN. This quality showcased pearlescent diagonal stripes and shiny undulating horizontal lines, contributed to a sparkling and classy texture, infusing the jersey with an undeniable touch of elegance.

ECOBLOCK BLACK | MATT GLOSS IRIODIN, the same quality used for the Names & Numbers, brings an extra layer of refinement to the front of the jersey with the "CITTÀ DI VENEZIA" inscription. The letters have a pearly shine and glossy lines, it's a shimmering tribute to the history and identity of Venezia FC.

THE RESULT

The combination of these techniques achieved the desired "WOW" effect, transforming the Venezia FC third kit into a refined masterpiece. The white-blue horizontal stripes, the red collar inspired by San Marco's flag, and the metallic look of the emblem collectively form a visually stunning and classy ensemble. 

The jersey, unveiled during the Historical Regatta, not only pays tribute to the gondoliers' tradition but also stands as an indication to the seamless blend of history and innovative design. TURNING A STANDARD JERSEY INTO A LIMITED EDITION COLLECTOR'S PIECE

To celebrate 60 years of the Marcantonio Bentegodi stadium, Hellas Verona FC launched a unique and special kit, the #BENTE60DI, exclusively worn during the match against Lazio.

The Iconic Details of Hellas Verona's Limited Edition Jersey

The jersey is rich in details that represent the history of the stadium. In black and dark grey, we have the elements that make up the pattern of the t-shirt, characteristic components of the structure: curve, seats, roof and staircase of the third ring. The yellow and blue on the collar and cuffs serve as a homage to the coloured "blocks" painted by the fans. The sponsor's logo is entirely produced in black.

THE CHALLENGE

The primary challenge Hellas Verona FC faced in celebrating 60 years of the Marcantonio Bentegodi stadium was the creation of a truly exclusive and limited edition 4th kit. The unique aspect of this challenge lays in the decision to produce only 787 numbered copies of the jersey, adding an extra layer of rarity and prestige to the project.

Each jersey, from 1 to 787, embodies a distinct piece of history, enhancing the collector's appeal and emphasizing the exclusivity of this remarkable edition.

THE SOLUTION

In successfully overcoming this challenge, the collaborative efforts between Hellas Verona FC and dekoGraphics played a crucial role. Together, we not only produced a visually stunning and symbolically rich football jersey but also implemented a smart heat transfer technique for numbering the limited edition jerseys.

The solution for the Authentic Label was found in the Multi Image Reflective (MIR) technique. This heat transfer technique incorporated a reflective base, enabling the inclusion of the #BENTE60DI logo alongside the serial number. What set this technique apart was its unique ability to interchange between two images based on different angles, adding an additional layer of exclusivity to each of the 787 jerseys.

The Authentic Label transformed into a dynamic and visually captivating element, serving as a symbol of the illustrious 60-year history of the stadium.

Going beyond the Authentic Label, additional heat transfer techniques elevated the #BENTE60DI kit:

Opting for a tone-on-tone effect, a glossy finish was applied to the brand logo and sponsor logo. This not only provided an elegant appearance but also seamlessly harmonized with the overall design of the jersey.

The team crest, which showcases two mastiffs within an ellipse mirroring the stadium's aerial view, was enhanced using ECOBLOCK BLACK | MATT GLOSS. The combination preserves the jersey's overall elegance while proudly highlighting the team's club logo.

The project's objective was to develop a modern and innovative way of embellishing medical bandages without compromising their functionality, which is a significant challenge in the medical field.

AS Roma and sponsor New Balance launch a special third kit. It will be worn in the 2022-23 Serie A. The AS Roma´s journey from neoclassicism to modernism should be reflected in the football jersey, combined in a premium product with a unique look, predominantly black with a pink & anthracite design pattern on the front and sleeves.

The big challenge: We were asked by New Balance for something outstanding in respect of the execution of the AS Roma club logo. 

Advancing textile embellishment for professional football clubs

This decision resulted in a close cooperation between New Balance and us which has not only led to an intensive design-finding process, where dozens of designs were revised, corrected and discarded, but also to levelling up the art of future textile embellishment for professional football clubs.

The next level of textile embellishment

Our task: To transform the AS Roma club logo into a high-quality heat transfer that turns the jersey into a high-spec desirable collector's item.

THE SOLUTION

Despite the large selection of possible product qualities at our disposal for teamwear embellishment, the decision was made quickly. To come up with something unique, it was clear from the start that our LENTEX® heat transfer is the right product for a massive impact.

The most interesting aspect of the New Balance AS Roma 22-23 third kit is the fact that the club logo changes its shape depending on the angle.

In fact, the AS Roma club crest consists of two logos: one being the club initials ASR within a circular shape, while the regular shield is visible upon closer inspection.
